I’m Lauren Holliday, publisher of the Swamptown Scoop, a brand new local newsletter aimed to curate all the things you need to know about life in Gainesville. Born and raised here, I left for 12 years as many of us do—and now I’m back to raise kids and remind everyone why this swampy little slice of Florida is the best!

Why am I doing this? Simple: I believe in this town. Gainesville has a friendly vibe about it that you just can’t find anywhere else, and I’m all about supporting the small businesses and community spots that make this place special. Plus, I’ve got kids to raise here, so I have a vested interest in keeping Gainesville awesome.
